Wendy Boswell
CAMPUS DIRECTOR & TEACHER
I am so excited to be starting at Journey Christian High School Co-op this fall. I became passionate about homeschooling when my mom began homeschooling my three younger brothers in the 1980s. I have home-schooled my four children for the past 21 years. I graduated from Christ for the Nations with a Certificate in Biblical Studies and have a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science with an emphasis on teaching and a minor in general ministries from Bethany Christian College. I recently earned my teaching certification. I have taught World Religions, Geography, Art History, American Government, writing and more over the years to junior high and high school homeschool students.
I helped launch American Heritage Girls in Boise and the Journey homeschool coop where I have taught the past two years. I was a 4-H leader for many years. I have also helped plant two churches alongside my husband including The Journey church here in Boise. My husband and I led youth ministry at our church in California for 5 years before moving to Central Oregon to pastor a church there. Eventually, he called us to Boise to plant a church 13 years ago. I have been on mission trips to Russia and Mexico and plan to visit my son, a missionary, in Peru very soon!
In my free time, I love to read, study nutrition and herbs, hike, ski, watch ballet, scrapbook, train our German Shepard and St. Bernard and travel to new places. I am passionate about mentoring young moms. I love encouraging people of all ages to get into the living Word of God, experience the presence of God in worship, and find God’s gifting and the call He has on their lives. I think teens are the best!!!
